JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be located in Bangkok, Thailand .
 
Job Goals and Objectives

The main goals of the Retail Operations Manager’s function is to improve the commercial performance by looking into sales and targets, efficient day-to-day operations of the stores as well as the overall store maintenance and standards, customer service, manpower and staffing matters. Ensure timely report submissions by all business entities to Management.
 
Driving the objectives in achieving high performance in main areas of retail activities in Retail Operations, Human Resource, Inventory Management, Customer Care, Marketing & Promotions, Logistic, Information technology & Administration.

Responsibilities / tasks:
 
    Responsible for superviseing the operations of retail outlets and consignment counters, achieving sales targets and profitcapability, minimizing operating expenses, and implementing sales strategies.
    Responsible for the shop opening and closing to ensure smooth operations and transition.
    Monitor and ensure compliance to all retail standards and regulatory requirements by trade authorities, complex landlords and department stores.
    Implement controls in cash collection, stock count schedules, stock control and inventory integrity.
    Coordinate all matters of receiving records, invoices, purchase orders, defective stocks, transfers
    Ensure security of staff and business areas are in place and theft/pilferage preventive controls, surveillance cameras functioning and monitoring,
    Ensure grooming standards of staff are in place and in compliance with brand image
    Ensure housekeeping of all business areas are executed and maintained to the highest level of standards
    Recruit, train, develop, plan, organize and develop the team from time to time
    Manage customer service, complaints and inquiries to ensure quality customer service has been delivered to achieve high customer satisfaction.
    To undertake ad-hoc assignments or tasks assigned when required 
leadership abilities:
 
    Manage stores and consignment counters
    Manage retail staffs
    Support stores to maintain productivity and retail operations standards,recruitment, discipline, training and development. Cultivate effective communication to build/improve staff motivation and morale leading to a positive working attitude and environment.
    Conduct staff appraisal and performance reviews.
    Lead and coach staff towards achieving the sales goals and service standards and through trainings where required
 
Requirements:
 
    At least Diploma / Degree in Business, Retail Management or related disciplines.
    5 years of practice at managerial level with good track records in retail management, preferably with practice working in international brands.
    Minimum 5 years in a sales and operations function for lifestyle and fashion retail.
    Strong negotiation and influencing expertise.
    Possess good command of both written and spoken English, BM and Mandarin.
    Independent, resourceful, strong people management, motivation and decision-making expertise.
    capability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and within tight deadline.
   Working hours include regular unsocial hours, especially during busy sales period. Expected to probable long working hours at certain time, irregular pattern of working including weekends & public holidays.
    Proficient in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
    Required language(s): English, Chinese, and BM.
