JOB DESCRIPTION

The HR Director supervises all aspects of the day-to-day and strategic management of the HR function for the organization, including superviseing HR functions and systems, benefits, payroll, health, safety and wellness, and supporting leadership abilities and managers in handling employee relations, recruitment, retention and training.  
 
Must be willing to work in Kuching, Sarawak.  Hands-on practices is a must for this position. 
 
The scope of work: 
    Set and communicate strategic HR policies, plans and goals to all to support achievement of a high-performance culture and a highly engaged workforce.
    Ensure HR Strategy, policies and procedures are established and updated to reflect current requirement. Advise and recommend any changes or proposal to Managing Director for approval.
    Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
    Lead the full spectrum of HR function including talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management and payroll administration.
    Direct and drive communication of company’s policies to employees and ensure Information technology is understood and adhered to by all, at all times.
    Directs a process of organizational planning that evaluates structure, job design, and personnel resources for the company, maintaining an optimal organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
    Ensure compensation and benefits programs are competitively designed and implemented to retain high potential and drive a performance culture.
    Direct the development of training and organizational development strategy and plans to meet short term and long term needs of the business.
    Ensure training needs analysis is performed by Heads of Department to address current capabilities and future training needs, including on-the-job training, departmental specific training, management development, new hire orientation and onboarding.
    Direct the review, update and implementation of the performance management system to ensure Information technology is significant and aligned with the strategic goals of the company.
    Manage building facilities, lease and maintenance. 
Key consideration: 
    A minimum 15 years of HR technical and hands-on managerial practice handling mid-size companies.
    Possess strong HR technical knowledge, Malaysia Labor Law, Compensation and Benefits Benchmark, SOP setup, System implementation knowledge.
    Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field. Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS or related practice required Excellent interpersonal communication as well as professionally articulate written and verbal communication expertise practice with an HRMS tool preferred.
    Capable of conducting internal training and preparation of training/development calendar for the organization. 
    Must be able to implement effective HR policies and procedures, budget and planning for HR.
    Team-oriented leadership abilities; flexibility; resourcefulness; decisiveness; capability to build and maintain positive relationships.
    Strong organizational knowledge and the capability to lead projects to completion.
    Influential at all levels and strong capability to work with a senior leadership abilities team.
    Must have dealt with crisis management, legal dealing representing the organization.
    Strong communications/interpersonal/listening expertise.
