JOB DESCRIPTION

 
Summary of Key Job responsibilities:
 
    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
    Assisting Restaurant Manager on the day-to-day operations of the restaurant by supervising a shift and effectively coach and delegate a task to the team member. This includes managing labor, product inventory and supplies
    During shift, direct team members to various workstations to meet guest needs and to ensure speed of service, cleanliness standards, and operational needs are met
    Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure Operational Excellence and to improve team member performance
    Develop positive relationship with the shift team by knowledge and covering individual motivation, needs and concerns
    Manages restaurant operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing shift as assigned
    Follows operational procedures, including those for cash handling and safety, to ensure the safety of all team members during the shift. Utilizes operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift
    Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team
    Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Kenny Rogers ROASTERS. Maintains a consistent shift management during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep restaurant operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team members
    Delivers excellent guest service to all guests by acting with a “guest comes first” attitude and connecting with the guest needs. Follow up with team members during the shift to ensure the delivery of excellent guest service
    Assists new team member learning by positively reinforcing prosperous performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to Restaurant Manager on team member performance during shift
    Provides quality food and beverage products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipes and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines on all preparation procedures
    Anticipates guest and restaurant needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues. Team members trained to communicate information to the Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a positive working environment during each shift
    Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishment by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with Restaurant Manager to find new, creative and impactful methods of recognition
    Creates positive team environment by recognizing team member needs and find ways to improve team member morale and performance and communicate to Restaurant Manager
    Ensure that facility and equipment are maintained to Company’s standards in a day-to-day basis
    Ensures and maintain high standards of service, product quality and cleanliness of restaurant
    Maintains regular, consistent attendance and punctuality
 
Summary of Requirements and practices:
 
    Possess a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management/Food & Beverage or equivalent
    Fresh graduates/Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply
    Strong customer service expertise required
    Good interpersonal and communication expertise
    Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a Team
    Perform any other significant tasks as and when required
    Willing to relocate and travel if required 
Required Knowledge, expertise and Abilities:
 
    Strong interpersonal expertise
    capability to lgain quickly
    capability to work in a team
    capability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions and request clarification when needed
    capability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with other Team Members
