Job Offer: Environmental Manager:

Job description:


    This position is responsible for superviseing environmental regulatory compliance for the Double Track project which includes planning and implementing environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
    Develops, reviews, and edits facility, contingency plans.
    Provides project management oversight for various environmental compliance matters, with support of third party consultants and advisors as appropriate.
    Prepares construction & non-construction regulatory permits and applications.
    Engages with environmental department and operations team members in a positive way to continue develop best practices in environmental compliance, through systems development and improvement, training development and delivery, document management and other programmatic work.
    Inspects facilities for environmental compliance.
    Drafts policies and procedures for amending the Environment Management System.
    Effectively communicates with agency personnel, industry colleagues, and co-workers.
    Manages environmental remediation projects, including: developing strategy, budgeting, document retention, internal reporting, and coordinating clean-up measures with third party contractors in compliance with the local law.
    Carefully manages work on contractors and advisors, with support and cooperation of internal business partners such as site managers, maintenance and operations teams.
    Advises and provides direction on hazardous materials handling.
    Provides guidance to company personnel on potential or actual breaches of compliance regulations and recommends corrective or preventative actions.
    Provides regulatory training to staff.
    Participates in meetings, conferences, and training. Requirements:
    Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental/Safety/Health or Engineering.
    At least 10 years of working practice in similar function in Construction/Railway/Track/Road companies.
    expertise & practice in environmental regulatory compliance.
    Highly organized, able to manage competing priorities & identify strategic & critical issues.
    Maintain a focus on technical content, compliance & regulations.
    Manage & support a team to work effectively under pressure.
    Versatile in both verbal & written communications.
    Able to manage high value infrastructure project
